Chandigarh is one of the most beautiful, clean, and green capital cities of the country. It is no wonder then that this city has earned the moniker, City Beautiful. A trip to the city is well nigh incomplete without visit to some of its most beautiful gardens.

At the heart of the Terraced Garden is a large white musical fountain that is a pretty sight, particularly after sundown.
Garden of Fragrance – The Garden of Fragrance is another beautiful garden located close to Sector 35 where most of the romantic restaurants in Chandigarh are located. Right at the center of the garden is the Chandigarh War Memorial inaugurated in 2006.
Special mention: Rock Garden – The Rock Garden built by Nek Chand is not really a garden in the traditional sense. It is a sculpture garden that has been was constructed completely out of recycled ceramics and home and industrial waste. Spread over 40 acres, this is a breath-taking interpretation of one man’s take on recycling and reusing waste. From maze like structures to waterfalls and from sculptures to amphitheatres, this is one of the best attractions of City Beautiful. Apart from the weekend getaways near Chandigarh, the Rock Garden is the most popular places to explore with family and kids.
