Ways to Boost Women’s Fertility

A common issue faced by couples is women not being able to get pregnant. When this happens it can cause strains on the relationship since many times couples really want a kid but can’t seem to produce one no matter how hard they try.

In the case that the woman in the relationship is in her late thirties or forties, there is a chance that she won’t be able to have kids any more due to a lack of ovarian reserve. An AMH fertility test should be taken to give you an idea of how hard it may be to get pregnant.

If you are worried about being fertile, here are some ways to naturally improve fertility and increase the chances of getting pregnant.

Avoid eating trans fats – Although healthy fats are beneficial in boosting fertility, trans fats have a negative impact on insulin sensitivity which increases risk of ovulatory infertility.

Take multivitamins – Women who take multivitamins 3 or more times per week are 20% less likely to experience ovarian infertility. Although one study even showed up to a 41% reduced risk of infertility for women taking multivitamins. Folate is an important vitamin that should be included, as well as vitamin B6 and vitamin E.

Be physically active (but not too active) – Everyone knows that exercise benefits many facets of your life, and the ability to become pregnant is benefited as well. However, too much intense exercise actually has a negative impact on fertility, so keep the exercise moderate if you are trying to get pregnant.

Cut down on coffee – Although it can be tempting to drink a lot of coffee to get you through the day, drinking too much can be bad for your chances of getting pregnant. One study showed that women who have over 500mg of coffee every day took 9 and a half more months on average to get pregnant than those who didn’t.

There are tons of factors that affect your ability to become pregnant, so be sure to do your research and follow these tips to maximize your chances of success.
